How To Create Your First Project

Start your first FilterPixel project via folder import or button creation, with automatic culling and photo classification.

To start, you can either click the Create Your New Project button or use drag-and-drop functionality with a folder containing your RAW or JPEG images.

Initial Setup Steps

  • Drop your photo folder to begin project creation
  • Enter a project name when prompted
  • Select your shoot type:
    • Portraits for headshots
    • Weddings/Events for gatherings or AI-assisted moment selection
    • Others for general purposes
  • Optionally choose a more specific genre like "Family Portraits" or "Sports"
  • Click the Start Now button to proceed

Automatic Classification

The culling process starts automatically after import completes. Photos are then organized into three views:

  • Selected: Your best photos. The AI ensures you never miss crucial moments by selecting one from similar sets
  • Rejected: Photos with poor eye or focus quality
  • Duplicates: Duplicate images to avoid during review

Review Process

Start reviewing in the Selected Photos section. Available keyboard shortcuts:

  • P = select a photo
  • U = mark as duplicate
  • X = reject a photo
  • S = open Survey Mode to compare duplicates
