I have already imported photos into Lightroom. How should I use FilterPixel?

How to use FilterPixel with photos already imported into Lightroom by exporting XMP metadata and reading it back into your catalog.


Workflow

  • Open the FilterPixel App and create a project by importing the folder you wish to cull
  • Allow the culling process to complete

Updating Lightroom Metadata

Step 1: Export to XMP

Click on Export and select the XMP export option. This action writes XMP metadata containing your culling decisions to the same directory as your images.

Step 2: Read Metadata in Lightroom

Navigate to Lightroom and use the Read Metadata function.

Your Lightroom catalog will now be updated with the colors/ratings that you have marked in FilterPixel.
