What to do if your credit card was declined

Common reasons a card payment is declined and how to fix it — update your card, contact your bank, or reach out to support.


When a credit card charge is declined, you'll receive an email notification about it.

Common reasons for credit card declines

  • Your credit card is expired or canceled. Update your payment details in the app.
  • The bank or credit card company declines due to a security issue. Contact your bank or credit card company and ask them to mark the transaction as safe.

Next steps

If you're uncertain about the decline reason, reach out to the support team by responding to the notification email or using live chat. The team can arrange alternate payment options and provide additional assistance.

Note: If the card cannot be successfully charged four times within a two-week period, your account will be downgraded to the free plan.
